Allan Stewart, an Australian born on March 7, 1915, gained his first degree in 1936. Firmly holding the view that it’s never too late to learn and one shouldn’t stop challenging himself, he got another degree—a Doctor of Medicine by great efforts. In his eighties, he decided to study law and in 2006, he became the oldest man in the world who received a master’s degree. Six years later, he received his fourth degree by studying on the Internet and his teacher praised him a lot for his arrangement for time. Allan Stewart really sets a good example to others.

All this reminds me of my mother who has been doing whatever she could to let me have the best. Mind Your Behavior in Public Places

Last Sunday, I went sightseeing with my friends in the Fairy Lake Park. The park was full of freshness and beauty of spring, with the sun shining and birds singing. When I was enjoying the fantastic scenery around, something unpleasant caught my eye. A young couple in a boat were eating, talking and laughing loudly as if they were the only people in the world. What's worse, they spat and even threw rubbish into the lake, totally ignoring the noticeable sign "No Littering" nearby. What a shame!

Such behavior left me deep in thought. If all visitors to the Fairy Lake Park do as the couple did, the lake will be severely polluted and soon turned into a huge dustbin. I think all of us should mind our behavior in public places. Only in this way can we live in more comfortable and beautiful surroundings.

I have a precious pen, which was given to me as a birthday present by one of my best friends. I like it very much. However, this pen once has an unusual experience.

When I was a student of Grade Two, I lost my precious pen because of carelessness when our school was holding a sports meeting. I almost felt crazy when I realized that it was missing. I searched the playground carefully and even the road leading to my home. I put up several notices with their titles—My Precious Pen Lost, in which I promised to pay the one who gives the pen back to me 100 yuan. Several days later, I heard my name called by someone. It was a girl with a pen in her hand. I felt excited to see my precious pen back. I thanked this kind girl again and again, who didn’t accept the money I gave her as a reward.

To be honest, it was Su Hua’s fault but Li was also to blame—they were not calm enough and both said some really mean things. They cared too much about winning and losing. As a matter of fact, blocking, pushing and bumping are just part of a tough game.

I went to the zoo with my friends last Sunday.It was hot and sunny that day.It took us about two hours to get there by bus.There were thousands of people in the zoo.We saw lots of animals,such as,pandas,kangaroos,polar bears,gifaffes,elephants,tigers,wolves,snakes and so on.We also saw the elephant show.The elephants were so clever that they could do lots of things like us.At noon we had a picnic in the zoo.And then we thew the rubbish into the dustbin.We didn't go home until 5:00 in the afternoon.
